After prepping the sandal,the a base color is painted on. Then the design is carefully painted on with detail work. (Designs are all painted freehand.) Finally, several coats of a special, durable glaze are applied, using a unique hardening process. Will the paint stay on? Will it ever chip? The durable glaze I use on the sandal will ensure the paint will not wear off. I use several coats. Please remember, though, that these are handpainted creations. They may chip if you kick a curb. (Be kind to your sandals, as they are an investment.) Can I get the sandals wet? Yes, you can take a damp towel to clean off your sandals, but do not immerse your sandals in water.
